Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl
September 11-13, 2020 The first virtual Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl was a learning experience for all. Thanks to all of you who joined in, visited the participating stores (virtually or in person), watched the videos, played bingo and joined in on all the other virtual happenings during the crawl. During the crawl, each stored introduced a pattern and kit dedicated specifically for the crawl. See the video describing Lofty Lou's kit the Tahoe Dreams Beanie. Lofty Lady Linda Schumacher designed this beanie which depicts Lake Tahoe and the beautiful mountains and forests around the Sierras. This video introduces the knit and crochet versions of the beanie along with the yarn and her inspiration for the design. Enjoy. Check out all the videos from the participating shops on the Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl Instagram |

World Wide Knit in Public Day (WKIPDAY)
Date TBD WKIPDAY is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter run event in the world. If you're a knitter, grab a project and come on down to the shop between 1 and 3pm for some "knitting in public." The day started as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company -- and share their craft with the outside world. Spinners, crocheters or other fiber-crafters are also welcome, too! In the past, WKIPDAY has coincided with Hangtown Days in Downtown Placerville. So we encourage you to come in period costume. |
